What MitOUT keeps, why, and how you delete your login.
What MitOUT collects
Your login. An email address (or a crew sign-in name issued by your company) and a password, used only to sign in and to send your work to your company’s office.
Job records. Room scans, flood-cut and scope details, equipment placements, moisture readings and the photographs you take on a job. Each record is stamped with who recorded it and when, because the record exists to show what was found and when.
Photographs and location. Photographs are stamped with the room, the time and the job’s address. The app reads your location only while you are placing a job on a map or stamping a photograph, and never in the background.
The property and its owner. A technician may enter the address of the building being dried, and — on a written quote — the customer’s name and telephone number. These belong to the restoration company’s customer, not to the technician. They are used to identify the job and to head the paperwork the company gives that customer, they are never used for marketing, and they are kept with the job for as long as the company keeps its record of the work.
A number that identifies this installation. The app generates a random identifier the first time it runs and sends it with your work, so that the same job arriving twice from the same phone is recognised as one job rather than two. It is created by the app, it is not read from your device or your Apple Account, it is not used for advertising or tracking, and it is gone when the app is removed.
Who the records belong to
Job records belong to the company the job was done for. They are that company’s business records and are visible to that company’s office, and — when the company has chosen to join one — to the organization that oversees it. MitOUT does not sell or share these records with anyone else.
Deleting your login
You can delete your MitOUT login at any time from the app (Settings → Sending to the office → Delete my login) or on the web. Deleting your login permanently removes your email, password and sign-in. Job records, photographs and moisture readings you sent to a company remain that company's business records and are retained by that company; your name stays attached to the work you did, as the record of who was present. If you are the only owner of a company, deleting your login also closes that company.
